If digital land is investable, why not tokenized real-world cashflow?
Metaverse investing was supposed to be about new asset classes.
Digital land. In-game economies. NFT-backed infrastructure.
But under the surface, we still struggle with sustainable yield models. A lot of returns in crypto remain token-driven.
RWA changes that conversation slightly.
Instead of metaverse-native emissions, the yield originates from real-world economic activity, then gets tokenized and distributed on-chain.
Centrifuge, Maple, Ondo explored this on Ethereum. I’ve been looking at 8lends as well. RWA-backed lending, fixed monthly payouts.
What intrigues me isn’t the APY. It’s the structure. Predictable income streams inside a digital portfolio.
If the metaverse thesis is about merging digital and physical economies, RWA feels like a bridge layer.
Question for this sub:
Do tokenized real-world assets complement metaverse-native investments, or dilute the thesis?
