A lot of people seem to be searching how to start a consultancy in the UK are many of you running consulting businesses?

I’ve noticed something interesting from my site analytics recently.

The blog post that consistently gets the most search traffic is a guide about starting a consultancy business in the UK.

It surprised me a bit because I expected things like e-commerce or agencies to be more common.

It made me curious how many people here are actually running consulting / freelance businesses through a UK Ltd (especially from outside the UK).

If you’re doing consulting:

• what type of consulting do you do?
• did you set up a UK Ltd specifically for that?
• has banking / payments been smooth?

I’m trying to understand if consultancy is one of the main use cases for UK companies.
