Where does RWA fit in an alt-heavy portfolio?
Most alt portfolios are beta-heavy by default.
Layer 1s. AI tokens. Infra plays. Maybe some DeFi.
Yield strategies often add more volatility rather than reduce it.
RWA-backed lending introduces exposure to off-chain credit. Different risk drivers. Less token reflexivity.
I’ve been evaluating 8lends recently. Structured RWA lending with fixed monthly payouts.
Not moon math. More income math.
Key considerations:
• Underwriting transparency
• Legal structure
• Asset visibility
• Default handling
If those hold, RWA can function as a stabilizing sleeve inside a volatile alt portfolio.
So for those advising on alt allocation:
Would you carve out a portion for structured yield, or stay fully growth-oriented?
