Dermal rise height and converters

been looking at getting a dermal soon so I’m shopping around for an anchor. Come across anatometal and saw there was different rise heights and got confused. I assume everyone has different thickness skin so that is why, and could a shorter anchor completely heal over? I also saw that there are “dermal converters“, anyone had any experience or have tips for sizing and converters?
