For instance, they are very secular and interpret Islam differently from Middle Eastern and other Muslims in general(many Middle Easterners are secular too). However, the criticism of islam is used I can see to dehumanise Balkan Muslims and strip them of their identity and to even glorify what happened to them in the 90s. I would like to ask why is this the case where all Muslims are painted with one brush by certain groups and individuals? Is it due to Islam being seen as a non white religion, something that challenges European or western dominance? Terrorism? Scapegoating during economic decline etc? I am asking on social media, maybe real life is different.
