[Swedish] What to do after finishing the course
Hi everyone,
After 86 days, I’ve finished the Duolingo Swedish course, and I’m not sure what to do next. I think my Swedish is around A1/A2 level. I can have simple conversations and understand people quite well if they speak slowly and use simple language. But as soon as the conversation gets a bit more advanced, I have to switch to English because my vocabulary just isn’t broad enough.
I’d like to reach B2 level, but unfortunately the Swedish Duolingo course isn’t very long.
So I’m wondering what to do now that I’ve reached the end. I watch Swedish TV, mostly children’s channels and some simpler programs. I also listen to “easy Swedish” podcasts, and once a week I speak with a native Swedish speaker to practice. I’ve been doing this since I started Duolingo. It has definitely helped, but if I stop Duolingo, I feel like I’ll be missing something as my main form of daily practice.
Are there any apps you’d recommend, preferably gamified? I’ve heard of Anki, but I couldn’t really get started with it. I’d love something that’s designed for the next level. I do not live in Sweden so enrolling in the SFI governmental program will not work.
Happy to hear your suggestions.
Tack så mycket!
