Nomination Has been rescinded

Hello, I have never posted on Reddit before so bear with me. I had recently been nominated to my dream University and have been awaiting my email from my host University on my application form, but yesterday I received an email stating this

“I am emailing with some disappointing news I'm afraid. Unfortunately, **** University have written back today only offering two places for the next academic year and declining our third placed nomination, which unfortunately was yourself.

I know this will come as disappointing news to you, especially as we were unable to previously allocate you to your first two partner universities.

We are however able to offer you a nomination to one of the following four partner universities if they would be of interest to you:”

I am absolutely heartbroken, but I understand this is out of their control. I thought I should post this and ask for advice anyways. I have already sent an email stating how I feel regarding this, and how the other Universities they offered me are just. Not anywhere I would want to go. I am grateful for the opportunity but I still feel like this is just so cruel. Has this happened to anybody else? Is anyone able to give me ideas on what to do moving forward?
