Looking for a newbie Friendly game

Hello,

Me and my friend's (Group of 4) are looking for a beginner friendly game for people that never played wargames before. We wanted to try out RPG's for year's, but never managed to. Now I want to prepare for a nice Co-Op campaign for us, since I have been in the hobby for quite some time (but never really played, small town, no player's).

So my goal is an easy game with a very low count of minis (per person) with a nice progression system, between games, to drive that campaign feel.

Setting should be open for the time being. So a model agnostic game is preferred. OPR, Forbidden Psalm and a few other games are on my radar already, but hoped for more input from actual player's.
