stabilisation

I've recently moved to Sony from Canon. Can anyone recommend any good resources to learn about stabilisation please? I've watched so many videos, but feel none the wiser. I have a A7V and sony lenses but my shots don't always look that stable. Do I need to make the most of stabilisation in post rather than in camera?
