401k employee plan loans?
Hey all,
I recently accepted a job offer from chase & passed the background check so I start soon, but I’m only AB and it’s not nearly going to be enough for my bills even when I do start.
Does the 401k plan at JPMC allow you to take a loan against it if I rollover from my previous employer plan (fidelity)?
How long would a rollover take?
I’ve unfortunately been unemployed for a while with $0 in income and am on the verge of defaulting on all my bills like car note, insurance, medical bills, and about to be dropped from university for not paying the registration fees since last fall.
I am desperate but trying to avoid a complete cashout of my 401k at all costs. With fidelity (previous employer’s 401k) while employed there was an option to take a loan out. Is that an option with chase’s 401k plan? I only want to take what i need and would rather do it as a loan I can pay back as I start working.
