I initially fell in love with dress #2, but I worried it was too risky.

I ended up choosing dress #1, which is definitely the safer option. It is also what my mom, fmil, and sister preferred, and knowing my fiance's tastes (he leans way more classic), is what he would prefer too. I was scared to go with dress #2, because I worried about my fiance's first reaction upon seeing me being "wtf is she wearing".

When I tried on dress #1, I did absolutely love it. But looking back at pics, I am now worried it is too safe and boring. I have people-pleasing tendencies, and I am frustrated with myself that I didn't go with what \*I\* loved the most, and worried too much about what other people would think. I keep thinking about how amazing I felt in dress #2, and I can't stop thinking about it. I know it is not to everyone's taste, but that shouldn't matter -- it is my wedding (although it is also my fiance's wedding, so perhaps his taste also matters?).

Ugh. Dress #2 was also double the price of dress #1, although I still could have afforded it. But a lot to spend on one day on a dress I'll never wear again.... still, I am having so much trouble letting it go.

I just have this overwhelming regret over having chosen dress #1. :([](https://www.reddit.com/submit/?source_id=t3_1rkjtot)
