ADHD meds + MDMA: Did my Adderall kill my roll? Experiences/advice?

Last Thursday night I went to a concert with a couple of buddies. I’m pretty new to MDMA—I’ve only taken it a few times before. I’m also prescribed Adderall for ADHD.

I took my usual 20 mg Adderall in the morning, and by the time the concert started (later that evening), it had mostly worn off. I started with 80 mg of MDMA. After about an hour and a half, my buddy (who took a point) was feeling amazing, but I just felt “good”—definitely not rolling hard like I expected. So I redosed another 70 mg.

I ended up feeling decent overall, but the effects were way milder than what I’ve read about or what my friends describe. It wasn’t weak MDMA (they were rolling balls), so I’m wondering if my Adderall use played a role.

I asked Grok about it, and it said yes, there can be an interaction/cross-tolerance thing because both are amphetamine-related.

Has anyone here dealt with ADHD meds (Adderall, Vyvanse, etc.) and MDMA? Do you notice diminished rolls if you’ve taken stims recently? Any tips for getting the full experience safely, or should I just plan around my prescription differently (like skipping Adderall that day or waiting longer)?
