TRU A / UVic R

I got a call this Monday afternoon and they sent an acceptance letter the same day.

A-/159 in January/L2 3.78

Applied as a general applicant in November but I did have work experience for over 5 years with the Ministry of Attorney General and had some strong softs and personal circumstances (documented experience of abuse during my undergraduate studies and financial hardships with full-time work throughout full-time studies).

Still waiting to hear back from some Ontario schools and DAL where I did apply as a discretionary/mature student.

Received a UVIC R yesterday - where I applied as a discretionary student.

First cycle trying to apply with 1A and 1R already. Although I was devastated to read the refusal letter from UVic, I’m honestly relieved to receive an A during this first half of admission cycle and am planning onto pay $600 for the commitment fee with TRU unless there are any more surprises coming in.
