2019 Forester Wiring Harness Corrosion
Hey folks! Not sure if I tagged this correctly but here goes.
We currently have a 2019 Forester which we got used 4 years ago. It has about 60k miles on it. In the past year it has become a bit of a money pit needing major work for the suspension, brakes and exhaust.
I was hoping to drive it for a couple more years but now the dealership is saying the wiring harness is corroded and it needs another 5k in labour to replace. I'm strongly considering trying to get a good deal on the trade-in and going to a '26 Solterra because there are a lot of incentives right now.
I'm wondering if people have thoughts about:
- will it just keep being a money pit going forward?
- is the price crazy for a rear wiring harness?
- do you think I can get a decent trade-in (since the dealer can do the work in-house)?
