How to recover message thread from recently deleted on MacBook Air

I can’t find the view tab that appears on my iPhone on my MacBook that brings you to recently deleted. I accidentally deleted a conversation thread and would really want these messages back. I deleted them a week ago, so I’d like to get them back before it expires. Thank you
