How would you feel about a Superman story where Pa Kent passes of cancer?

Fore a long time now I’ve wondered what a Superman story would be like if Pa Kent’s death was caused by a slow and tragic illness that has no cure? I feel it could still deliver to Clark that message of “you can’t save everybody” while also being just as tragic because Clark can see him weaken every day knowing there’s nothing he can do. But what do you think? Is this an interesting concept?

I’d also like to add that the reason I’ve thought of this is because I have a very personal connection to Pa Kent as he reminds me quite a lot of my grandfather. As horrible and tragic as it would be I think it would resonate with me deeply if Pa Kent was dying of cancer the same way I had to watch my grandpa.
