How persistent do you have to be on dating apps?

Girls of course get more attentions and likes than guys on these dating apps. But as a guy(26m), since there is so much “competition” does that make it more okay to double text or try to set up a date quicker to try to grab and keep her attention?

This girl matched with me a month after I liked her, I replied and got no response, so I double texted a few weeks later and got an immediate response. Now I’ve gotten no reply but wondering if it’s worth it to try again since she was receptive to my double text the first time.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I don’t usually double text or ask for a date off the bat, but maybe that’s what’s really killing me on these apps, I’m just losing to the guys who do.
