Options for wisdom tooth removal, complex medical problems
Saw the oral surgeon today, about getting my wisdom teeth removed. One of the is slightly exposed and causes jaw numbness around the area and both cause pain. We discussed options, they however said they will not do general anesthesia as I have respiratory condition by which they meant they don’t have the training and equipment to deal with it. My only option is local anesthesia and sedation.
The oral surgeon did say I could be referred to a hospital for the surgery if I want general anesthesia. I’m not really sure what to do. Not sure where to go. I don't want to do local as one it never really works on me, and also I know I will freak out when the surgery happens.
I was wondering if anyone had any advice. Would appreciate it and thank you!
