Just moved into a new place with a roommate - I’m looking to set up my PC in the basement so my roommate or beyond-wall-neighbors aren’t disturbed by me talking when playing video games late into the night as I like to do sometimes.

There’s no Ethernet outlet in the basement and the WiFi router is upstairs on the second floor in my bedroom - running a cable down two flights of stairs isn’t something I’m interested in - so I did some research and found out about MoCa adapters that seem like exactly what I’m looking for. I’m a little wary to go nuts and buy everything when I don’t know exactly what I’m looking at, and I’m not sure if it’ll work like I hope.

First picture is of the only potentially usable coax I could find available in the basement, ironically on the ceiling after I was searching for an outlet… I can only assume that the wire that goes up into the ceiling (second picture) is the same one that pops out of the floor briefly in the third picture only to go back into an outlet… same spot in the house and everything. Kind of goofy in my opinion but I also know nothing.

Anyway, I’m wondering if I get a few different female-female or female-male whatever coax wires and some MoCa adapters if they’d be able to hook up all nice and I could get some effective gaming internet in the basement? 🥺

Totally inexperienced with cable and MoCa adapters plz help
