Career switchers in their 30s - do you regret it?
I'm 28 and starting to think about whether I want to stick with graphic design forever or try something completely different. The whole idea of changing paths after you've already established yourself feels pretty intimidating though.
For anyone who took the plunge and switched careers once they hit their thirties - how did it actually pan out? I'm wondering about all aspects really - did your bank account recover eventually? Did you feel more fulfilled? Better work-life situation?
What caught you off guard during the transition that you didn't see coming? And on the flip side, what pleasant surprises did you discover along the way?
If you could go back and do it over again, would you still make that same leap? Or would you approach the whole thing differently knowing what you know now?
I tend to overthink major decisions and plan for every possible scenario (classic overthinker here), so I'm really curious about the reality versus expectations of such a big professional shift.
