In July 1995, the Army of Republika Srpska under the command of Ratko Mladić, joined by the Serbian Scorpions paramilitary, massacred 8,000 Bosniaks in Srebrenica, Bosnia, and raped and deported 25,000 civilians. The picture below depicts victims' corpses being exhumed a year after the massacre.
