Dash ideas (thread I guess)

I’ve finally got dash setup and working. The stand sticks now thanks to help from u/aim4squirrels. CarPlay is still a pain in the ass to use with no way to intersect except touching the dash display.

So I thought of setting up a thread (I hope that’s okay) that can be used as feedback and ideas to make it better.

I’ll go first:

- First thing I noticed and took me by surprise. Why is the dash connected to commander via Bluetooth. When it’s wired into the same harness as the commander? Surely it would be more reliable communicating with the commander if it was a hardwired connection? Maybe S3XY team can have a think on that and send some USB cables out that actual have data transfer rather than just power.

- Second idea. Everyone wants knob control. I want you to make a new button. Like the buttons you already have, but have a nipple control on it. 4 directional so you can navigate the display properly and a push in for select. Could be the same shape and size as current buttons. But it has a nipple to move around.

- Third idea. User themes. You have an SD card slot. Why not give us a little theme editor docs. Yeah it’ll be more for power users right now, as I image it’d be something we need to code. But I’d like to be able edit the colours and design. Maybe down the line you can make an editor in the app.

I’ll add more ideas to this as I get them. But I think this would be a good place for people to put their ideas so the team can see them in one place.
