Baikal IJ - 12 - Anybody here pay a gunsmith to modify interchangeable chokes?

I have a great condition Baikal IJ-12 O/U shotgun that my father no longer uses. He said the top barrel is Full choke and Bottom Barrel is Modified.

I would like to make the gun more versatile, as I believe this setup is great for trap, rather than skeet. I'm just debating whether or not it's worth a gunsmith to modify the barrels to allow interchangeable chokes
