New player looking for a budget starting point for CC, what do you think of this slippy list?
Hi everyone!
I'm a new player looking for an entry point into CC. I've played a few games of SAGE and I've been loving it, now I'm looking into getting a deck for my local CC armories.
I've found I quite like the attack reaction/instant aspect of combat, I love sending in attacks and sneaking in buffs after my opponent blocks or doesn't to do surprise damage and keep them guessing on just how valuable my hand is.
So I've been looking into the assassin class. Unfortunately I've come to realize assassin decks can get real expensive real fast, so maybe they're not the best to start with. Nonetheless I've found this cool decklist on a sloopdoop video, it seems to do exactly what I love, sneaking in hits with budget flick knives and buffing them with attack reactions. And its pretty dang cheap as well.
Here is the list : https://fabrary.net/decks/01JMQ7RCSA7YMC2G3P15QFXSZQ
So what do you think of the list? Would I stand a chance at armory, I know I'm going to get my ass kicked due to skill diff, but if we assume equal skill, would this list still be able to get decent chance? Or would it be a non game stomp?
Also I've been looking at warriors because their tuned lists don't seem as expensive, I like the idea of using my weapons as the main damage source, and they seem to also have a lot of attack reactions, but I'm kind of worried that they play too fair, and would get boring after a while. Like white bread/playing Ryu in SF. What do you think, can they also pull off some fancy turns ? I've been looking at Fang and Dori for warrior decks, and also a little Boltyn but more as a combo deck.
