Finishing my degree but the job market is flooded. What do I do now?

The title pretty much says it all. I did a CS degree through UNISA and I finished December last year, I still need my piece of paper but for all intents and purposes I have the degree.

I've been job hunting on LinkedIn and various job boards. So far I've only manged to get one interview. They seemed enthusiastic about me but because I live two hours from Cape Town they felt it would not be a safe hire. I can't afford to move. I currently help my dad at his business occasionally and he pays me 2k a month. I also have this other job at a very small tech start up doing web development on the Hubspot CMS remotely which right now is only paying me 1k a month. I've been with them for about a year. I was meant to become a full time hire there 3 months ago. They did offer me a full time position starting April which I took with hesitation and decided to start sending out resumes again. My contract let's them fire me for almost anything without real notice or compensation and the pay is also just about minimum wage. The guy in charge sometimes has some really unrealistic exceptions so the job isn't exactly stable.

I'm not getting much feedback. I lack 90% of the requirements for most Web Development/ Software Engineering jobs. The jobs where I do tick allot of the boxes also are not getting back to me.

I'll be 26 in March and I hate being in the position I am. I decided to study to try and secure a better future for myself but right now it kind of feels like I just wasted 5 years I could have spent building something better.

I don't like working for my dad I've been doing it for the last 5 years. I don't fancy taking over his business either. Even if I do go back to working for him full time, I don't get paid enough to move out, start a life of my own or save up to buy a car or travel...

All of this is making me extremely depressed. I feel like I lost the game. Like there is no hope left for me. I don't want to give up on my dream of being a programmer and making a decent living but right now it feels like my only option and I hate that.

I know this is coming across more like a rant right now and I suppose it is.

Is anyone else in a similar position to me? Has anyone managed to get out of it? What else can I do with my CS degree where i can still get paid enough to at-least be independent?
