Need opinions, is needing every little detail instructions root cause adhd?
I know ADHD can result in anxiety as a secondary, especially around learning & instruction. But, specific to needing pretty much every little step and in order (or close), whether it’s told, written or shown, in order to comfortably do an unfamiliar task, is that need common to ADHD even if you don’t have anxiety over learning or unfamiliar tasks?
Or does that come only as a secondary issue of anxiety causing or due to fear of humiliation or being wrong, doing it wrong and such? In your opinion or experience. Anyone experienced this?
No matter how instruction is relayed, so it’s not seeming to be a matter of if absorbing or forgetting really, as I do in fact check out of communication sometimes, but more of just needing every little direction there..
‘Just to make sure’ I’m doing it right, or genuinely no clue how/what to do next or whole lack of understanding the entire task, or afraid to look dumb or not get it especially if seeing everyone else is getting it, or afraid to show others mistakes made and being judged, but only for this type of stuff.
