For the second last fic of this month's reading club, we have a modern AU by the name of The Targaryen Tendency by WriterPug.

On AO3 it has 101k words, 1.3k kudos and 200 public bookmarks.

The summary read as follows-

Rhaenyra finds herself assisting her younger siblings with a problem that she has much experience in.

Hiding the Targaryen nature of their relationship from the outside world.

This fic got second place in Best Modern AU in our 2025 awards!

Daemon/Rhaenyra and Aemond/Helaena are the named ships in the tags.

It is important to note that this fic is rated as explicit, please make sure you read and note the tags before you consider trying it out. As such I am also going to mark this post as NSFW due to the tags, but it is still up to you to read them first.

Please remember that this is the introduction post for the fic.

This is the post where:

1. Announce your intentions participate in the book club for this fic, either as a first time reader or with a re-read.,
2. Ask questions about the content, themes, or related topics.,
3. Answer questions or share anything potential readers may like to know about the fic, if you have already read it.

This is not the post where you go into in depth discussions about the fic, since this is the book club now, the idea is to give people the time to read the fic, rather than rely on those who already gave them a go.

Also as part of the book club, the idea is for everyone who wishes to participate to give each fic at least a read of 10k words .I can't and won't force anyone to do that , but that is the idea.

Everyone has their own parameters on what they want to read and that is absolutely okay. You now know what the summary is and what the pairings are , so you can make your own choice on rather to give the fic a go or not.

We would ask that you please use the spoiler feature if talking about and answering any specific questions people might have about the fic.

The actual discussion post for this fic, will be posted during one of the last days of March it is then where you can give your thoughts as long as they are within the rules of the subreddit.
