Can you get an RFA for facet joint pain / disc pain?

I’m getting mixed info from doctors and wanted to see if y’all can weigh in. I’ve had persistent midline pain l4-s1 for years. My main doctor said I could get an RFA for this, but today another doctor I spoke with (who would actually perform the procedure) said I couldn’t get an RFA for this issue, we can only repeat an intradiscal prp (which I had done a couple years ago - only got maybe 6 months relief from it. but since then I’ve had prp into my si joints which has made major improvements in my pain levels and functionality).

So now I’m confused- can you get an RFA for facet joint pain??
