Lost $4,000 in one damn evening.
October 10, 2025. That same Friday. If u know u know
Everything seemed normal that evening. The market had dipped slightly, but I wasn't worried at all. I held a few positions with 2x leverage, thinking it was just a normal correction.
Then news about the new tariffs came out, and the market just went down like crazy. Bitcoin was falling by double-digit percentages in just a few hours, and altcoins were falling even faster. The liquidation feed was burning. I sat there and refreshed the chart every 10 seconds. First, one position was liquidated. Then a second. Then everything else. It happened so fast that I didn't even have time to close it manually.
Minus $4,000 in one fucking evening.
The most frustrating thing was that my leverage was only 2x. I was sure it was enough to survive the drawdown. It turns out the market can wipe you out even with "safe" leverage if panic sets in. I contacted the exchange's support team, but what would they give me back? Liquidation is liquidation. The money went into the market, and I was left with an empty balance and the feeling of being run over by a steamroller.
Since then, I've treated leverage like fire. I got burned once, and that was enough.
