When do you think they will be allowed to date?

I love kids and think they're a blessing, When do you think the cousins will be allowed to date, i'm thinking 13 or 14. 13 is a pretty normal age to start exploring, it's fine to allow a kid to date at that age but I also think it's ok to put some rules/expectations down beforehand. Kids are kids though, they have always acted the way they behaved; they'll do what they want when the parents aren't around.

So the best thing, i think, is to accept its going to happen BUT teach them about what can go wrong before it happens, you know? If a parent simply says "you're not allowed to date until you're 18" then they're pretty much hoping nothing happens until they are 18. That's great if nothing does happen, but if, IF, it does - the kids are basically without guidance and such.
