Am I already job hopping too much at 24…?

Advice

I graduated in October 2024 and I’m starting to worry that my CV might look like I’m job hopping, even though each move had a reason.

My first role after uni was as a Commercial Associate (which was basically a fancy title for an SDR role). I left after about 4 months because the culture was pretty poor and there was almost no training or support, which was tough since I was completely new to sales.

After that I joined another company as an SDR, with better pay and a much better environment. I’ve now been there for a year and a half and was promoted early to Senior SDR, so overall it’s been a good experience and I’ve performed well.

The thing is, I’m starting to realise that sales might not be the long-term path for me, and I’d like to pivot into something else.

My concern is that it might already look like too much movement early in my career.

For people who’ve been through something similar:

Is this considered job hopping at this stage, and would it hurt me if I tried to pivot into a different type of role now? Or is it still early enough in my career that it’s understandable?
