Mt Shasta paranormal experiences?

I was talking to someone the other day who asked whether I had felt anything “paranormal” on Mt. Shasta. I’ve been up there twice, including overnighting at Lake Helen, and didn’t experience anything that I would characterize that way, and I personally don’t have much credence for that sort of thing. I know that there is for some reason a belief among some that there’s something paranormal up there, like the Lemurian city hidden beneath the mountain, but perhaps some other fringe beliefs.

Does anyone here have any stories about experiencing anything “odd” on Shasta?
