My sister has been detained by ICE since December despite being married to a U.S. Navy service member – we need help
Hello everyone,
My name is Erick and I’m writing from Mississippi because my family is going through an extremely difficult situation.
My sister has been detained by immigration authorities since December 15, 2025, even though she is currently in an immigration process. She is married to an active-duty U.S. Navy service member, and my brother — who also serves in the Navy — has been trying to help her through every possible channel.
After several months in detention, a judge granted her a $15,000 bond so she can be released while her case continues.
Unfortunately, our family has already spent between $12,000 and $15,000 on legal fees, and we simply cannot afford the bond anymore.
Her physical and emotional health has deteriorated significantly inside the detention center. During this process she has also lost:
- her job
- her car
- important documents
- her phone
- most of her personal belongings
Our family is trying to raise $25,000 to pay the bond and urgent legal expenses.
If anyone is able to help by donating or sharing her story, it would mean a lot to us.
