My (24F) boyfriend (24M) constantly disappoints me and when I complain either gets defensive or starts crying. How do I make my relationship work?
My boyfriend and I are dating since 3 years and been living together since 2.5 years. Since we moved in together he has been a great support and had helped me immensely.
But he fails to be there for me emotionally, he constantly prioritises others or his mood rather than being there for me emotionally. He is only loving when he feels like it.
For example on my birthday he was playing games with his online friends till almost 12 and I kept on begging him to come spend time with me, he couldn’t spare extra 10 minutes.
Similarly once on Valentine’s Day he literally forgot to do anything for me and just gave me a piece of paper with happy valentines written on it at the end of the day.
Events like these is a daily occurrence now and the worst thing is if I say I don’t feel happy in this relationship he starts crying and then I feel guilty and apologise.
I want this relationship to work but I seriously have started to lose feelings for him and see him more as a roommate than my partner.
