CBC Video

Just watched this CBC News report about temporary foreign workers in Quebec manufacturing and hotels. In the video, one company says when they post a job they only get 1–2 resumes, and sometimes those applicants don’t even have the right profile for the job. Because of new federal rules capping temporary foreign workers at 10%, they’re losing a lot of workers and say they won’t be able to fill orders.

Are companies actually struggling to get applicants, or are there other reasons people aren’t applying for these jobs?
