I built an "AI Architect" into my Kanban board to generate full project structures and PlantUML diagrams from a single prompt (.NET 9 + React 19)

Hey everyone, I just finished v1.0 of my side project, NexusFlow.

I was tired of the "cold start" problem with project management tools—where you create a new board and then have to manually type out 20 tasks just to get started. I wanted to see if I could use LLMs to skip that part.

The "AI Architect" Feature: You can describe a project idea (like "SaaS for pet sitters"), and the app uses OpenRouter to generate a full board structure: columns, tasks, deep descriptions, and priorities. It basically handles the manual setup so you can start dragging cards immediately.

Automated Diagrams: I also added a feature where you can generate architectural or ER diagrams inside the task modals. It uses PlantUML to render them inline. I found this super helpful for keeping technical documentation tied to the actual ticket instead of losing it in a separate wiki.

Tech Stack:

  • Frontend: React 19 (using Mantine for UI and u/hello-pangea/dnd for the board logic).
  • Backend: .NET 9 Web API.
  • Real-time: SignalR for live board sync and presence tracking (green dots for online users).
  • AI: OpenRouter API (you connect your own key, so the features are free to use).

The code is open source and I’ve got a live demo link in the README if you want to test the generation speed. Would love to hear what people think about the prompt-to-board approach!
