Child Fell at School- no one seems to know what happened
My daughter goes to a prek program through our local school district, and today she took a fall at school, resulting in a cut on her chin requiring stitches. I’m concerned that no one seems to know what happened, and I’ve heard conflicting stories.
The nurse called and when explaining what happened she said no one was able to clarify what really happened, but she understood my daughter slipped in the classroom and hit something. She mentioned she would try to ask more questions about what happened.
I didn’t hear anything from my daughter’s teacher, so I reached out asking if she knew what happened and she told me my daughter fell from the balance beam while under supervision of a teacher’s aide. My daughter told me she slipped on a toy.
I don’t know if I’m overreacting or if this should be something I’m concerned about. I understand in a class of 19 kids that it’s hard to know what every kid is doing, but I feel very uncomfortable about the fact that my child needed stitches. Is this something I should question more? Or should I let it go?
