[M4F] Sex Cults

So cults in the modern day in general are… pretty terrible and exploitative. They have been responsible for a lot of suffering and strife and I am not at all condoning their actions.

But when I think of cults, my mind goes a bit farther back in time to the days when men and women gathered (maybe in secret) to worship and honor things higher than themselves. A time when a cult and a religion were almost interchangeable terms (some people can argue that’s still true, but that’s a discussion for a different day). Secret rituals and rites would be performed to honor and worship representations of primal forces in the hope of earning their favor or forestalling their wrath.

And, of course, there was a lot of sex.

Sexuality has been a part of many religions—both abstaining from it, or having it— well religiously. And it’s the latter I (naturally) find… appealing.

It’s this combination of the sexual and the religious that fascinates me, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. And not only do I find it fascinating but hot in a way that’s hard to describe; that speaks to me on an almost primal level.

And oddly my fascination is not from a worshiper's viewpoint, but what they devote themselves to. But me being the focus of that worship is for another post.

Even just the idea of an entire religion based on sex and pleasure, even love is just… so hot, isn’t it? Ritual orgies, masturbation and gooning as a form of prayer, cumplay and creampies as holy communion. Why distinguish between religious and sexual ecstasy when they can be one and the same?

And besides, religion is just one big Dom/sub dynamic anyway, isn’t it? So why not get rid of the pretense?

I know I can’t be the only person who finds this concept hot. Call it a kink, a dynamic, a fetish—a response to religious trauma—whatever you want. I want to talk about this, everything about it, even if you just think I’m some weirdo.
