Auto play call in MyCareer NBA games

I cannot figure out how to get this mode to work properly. If I have the play calls on Auto, it runs “Motion” like 90% of the time. If I do the “AI play call mode” where you have to press L1 to agree to the play, it runs the plays but doesn’t use the intended players from the playbook.

I love running an offense that’s just smooth in the NBA games with a bunch of open 3s and Alley Oops but I have not been able to get it to function automatically, and I don’t like physically calling the plays every time.
