Yet another .NET Mediator, but this one ships with the batteries included

Hey r/dotnet!

I've been working on this for a while and finally got it to a point where I feel comfortable sharing. I know there are a lot of mediator libraries popping up lately, especially with AI making it easier to spin one up over a weekend. This one is different in that the goal was never just the mediator itself, but a set of add-ons that actually fit together and share the same conventions.

The problem I kept running into

Every time I used a mediator library in a real project, I ended up rewriting the same boilerplate:

  • Validation (usually FluentValidation)
  • Retry/circuit breaker (Polly)
  • Logging and tracing (OpenTelemetry, correlation IDs...)
  • Transactions (EF Core unit-of-work)
  • Rate limiting (per-user, per-tenant)
  • Test helpers to mock the mediator

Not hard stuff, but it adds up, drifts between projects, and you end up owning it forever. I wanted a library where that was already solved.

What "batteries included" actually means here

TurboMediator is a core package plus 20+ optional add-ons: resilience, observability, caching, validation, persistence, rate limiting, feature flags, sagas, state machines, batching, testing helpers, and a CLI tool. You pick what you need.

Happy to hear any feedback or questions!
