This pup is a rescue, 60% ACD/35% Aussie Shepherd, and clearly had a rough time in early life. 

Once she settled in, it was apparent that she was actually terrified of my partner (a larger man) as well as many other things.  We worked for a year with a behaviorist, and she came a long way- after 18 months, she was finally willing to come into an exterior doorway of her own free will, for example.  

Her fear of my partner settled into just reacting to him when getting up from the couch and when entering the house or suddenly entering a room she doesn't expect now. The DNA test was a bit of a clarity point for us honestly...it really seems like she's trying to keep him in line/like he's the black sheep of the family more than actual fear when we look at her from a 60% ACD/35% ASD lens- thoughts?

Her behavior:  
\- The bark she uses for him when she's doing this is different from her "feed me" or "I'm excited" bark. Sounds like she's actually yelling at him.  She's extremely vocal in general (not just barks)  
\- Barks LOUDLY and even howls a bit if he dares to move without warning from the couch  
\- If she hears him move in another room, she barks and often will go try to find him to yell at him some more.  
\- She knows when he gets home from work or whereever, and lies in wait for him by the doorway...once she hears his car park, she barks, and if I don't greet him at the door, she barks and howls.  
\- Loves him if he's lying down or sitting down.   
\- Sleeps on our bed.  If he gets up and comes back to bed during sleeping time or at wakeup time, she's totally chill, doesn't even seem to notice.  
\- I can keep her from barking at him by acting super, super happy and getting between her and him before he moves or enters  
\- She's super, super food motivated.  If I can manage to get a treat in to her for looking away from the door/him while aroused before she starts barking, she will generally stay calm.

Anyway, we will stay 100% positive dog training on her.  But looking at her as a poodle mix dog for behavior didn't do us any favors.  Any insights/thoughts from other ACD/aussie/texas heeler owners?

Seems to think partner is a "black sheep" that needs kept in line?  Would love thoughts. (Yes, she's 60% ACD and 35% aussie shepherd.  I know- I didn't think so before the embark test, either!)
