Show me the way

I typically work in tech but Im settling for a retail gig for now that barely pays a 3rd of what Im used to making. I have L3 /cloud capabilities but L2/L1 I can do in my sleep which is what OE requires if im not correct. I would not consider my current gig a valid J1 since i have to be onsite. Help me out with any suggestions on how to actually implement this method. Being 20 years in and starting over is hard Im just trying to back on track with my retirement planning, etc.
