Prayer In Notre Dame de Paris and Mont St. Michel

Hi.

I'm a person who has considered himself Catholic for a few years now, I plan on beginning to really get into the faith, I'm unbaptised.

I have a school trip I'm going on later this Month to Paris and we will be visiting Mont St.Michel.

I just want to know if it's okay for me to pray to myself in either. I plan on saying the peace prayer and the prayer for forgiveness of sin. Is this okay?
