I’m really tired of the “long term” villains
Seriously is there NO one auditioning for “villain” roles in Hollywood anymore? Some long term villains off the top of my head:
-
Oscar: comedic relief, but this isn’t a comedy. I don’t mind his role in minuscule doses like when he helps out the LAPD with some prison intel but this “breaking out of prison to torture Nolan” thing is tired.
-
Elijah: had an entire season pretty much to himself and the show became Wopez V Elijah, the fact that he hasn’t been killed off means the writers are leaving the door for his return still open.
-
Monica: now I LOVED her character when she was first introduced but cmon now it’s downright ridiculous. I’m too mad to even explain my thoughts here.
And from what it looks like, they’re trying to that Everett dude from EP8 as another Elijah type character. They might also bring Glasser back?!?! Who is asking for this.
The BEST multi episode villains (imo) were Armstrong and La Fiera. They came, they saw, they were swiftly removed. They weren’t immediately introduced as the incarnation of Satan on earth, we learned about them at a reasonable pace and watched/heard about the switch to “evil”.
Just a rant, nothing to take seriously.
