Is it safe to travel to the US as a British person?

Obviously there has been a lot if issues with ICE. A British woman was locked up fir 6 weeks by ICE even though she didn't do anything wrong.

And I hear there is a huge anti British sentiment in America at the moment so would it be a bad idea to travel to the US?

should I hide the fact that I'm British just be safe?

Thinking of going to Texas and California fyi.
