Question

I am a city carrier, so I have a question. I was on detail when a route went up for bid, but as an employee development specialist, I can't bid on it while I'm on detail. No one bid on it, and my detail is about to be up on March 7th. The bid has already closed. Can they not reopen it? Anyway for me to get the route management and steward are fine with it but our union president is saying no, is that right?
