Need advice on what to do

Advice & Tips

My girlfriend had been with the company for more than a year before she was reprofiled to a different account. Unfortunately, she did not pass the nesting phase of the new account. Her trainer spoke with her about the possibility of transferring back to her previous account as a trainee, but she decided that she would rather resign. The trainer then provided the email addresses where she could submit her resignation letter.

However, the trainer did not clearly explain whether she would still be required to complete the 30-day rendering period. Since she would be returning to training, it did not seem logical for her to continue with the training while rendering, especially when the purpose of the rendering period is usually to give the company time to find and train a replacement.

Currently, her status has been marked as suspended due to absconding. She may also be required to pay a 30-day notice fee since she did not complete the required 30-day rendering period. Do you have any advice on what steps we can take in this situation?

She may still be able to obtain a COE; however, it might indicate that she has not yet been cleared by the company. We are also wondering if it would still be acceptable to use this type of COE when applying to other companies.

Thank you in advance.
