Anyone shy away from eBay and start selling on their own site?

I sell used auto parts, and eBay fees are honestly killer in this niche.

if I were selling out of my backyard or something, it would make sense but after rent, employees and the other expenses, it's rough.

My store is a bit more niche than the average ebay motors seller, focusing on american muscle cars, so sometimes when I list a part I am the only seller on eBay with said part active.

I am considering launching our own site where customers can directly order but I have 1 main concern

- Getting traffic.
