My adenomyoma is "not worth operating on"
Gonna try to keep it short, but I'm so broken right now. Had pain/severe illness for years. Got diagnosed with an autoimmune condition which is "managed" now. Still having horrible pelvic pain. Had an MRI, which showed a focal adenomyoma, which I was NOT expecting, I thought it would show nothing based on everything I've read here. Apparently, even though it shows "something", the MRI "would show significant endo if it was there" and that's the criteria for surgery.
I'm already on extended BC and have been for 10+ years. If I wanted to try an endo med I have to discontinue the BC, which is my nightmare.
Doctor's recommendations: Pelvic floor PT and CBT for pain. Come back in 3 months.
I can't imagine my life continuing how it is. I'm willing to try PT (she said both my internal and external muscles were highly sensitized) but how is PT going to fix my constant bloating?? The chronic fatigue?? Every form of pain I've experienced????
Feeling so hopeless after waiting 6+ months for this.
