Time off after TTO + meniscus repair

I (35F) have a TTO procedure scheduled next month (left leg- right will follow 3-4 months out). I may have meniscus repair as well. No MPFL reconstruction though- I haven’t dislocated in nearly 20 years but have substantial patellofemoral arthritis, significant discomfort with flexion/stairs, Hoffas fat pad edema, and meniscus wear/tearing from decades of maltracking (patella Alta, trochlear dysplasia, lateral subluxation).

I work from home. My surgeon said I’d only need 3-4 days off and that kids in high school usually go back to school the following week with this surgery. I’m planning to take a full week.

Wondering how others did with returning to work-from-home and general recovery?
